Alessandro Ghisalberti
My name is Alessandro Ghisalberti and I live in Bergamo. I am a counsellor and writer, registered with CNCP, Italy's national professional counsellors' association.
I have worked with Caritas in Bergamo since 1992, first in listening centres and later in street outreach. For fifteen years, I worked alongside people experiencing homelessness through the “Esodo” and “Terre di Mezzo” outreach projects.
I completed my training at the Sintema School of Professional Counselling in Bergamo, directed by Professor Luigi Regoliosi. I studied neuro-linguistic programming with Andrea Di Gregorio at PNL Evolution in Lugano, earning the Master Practitioner qualification. I later trained with Robert Dilts at NLP University in Santa Cruz, California, where I obtained the Trainer and Consultancy Certification.
Earlier in my life, I devoted ten years to theatre and theatre education, working with groups in Bergamo, Puzzle Teatri and the school of the Teatro Tascabile di Bergamo. I also took part in poetry, video and screenwriting competitions.
Today I teach counselling at several specialist training schools and pastoral counselling at university. I run courses on listening, helping relationships and personal growth.
I created the podcast “Genitori Separati”, produced with the Associazione Minori in Primo Piano in Bergamo.
My books on counselling and personal growth include Il passo della testuggine, Stare bene con l'ascolto and the series Le arti dell'ascolto. They offer practical tools, explained in straightforward language and designed for use in everyday life and relationships.
Le notti del serpente, set in Bergamo airport during the Covid pandemic, marked my fiction debut with a short novel.
I also write a blog and create online content about training, counselling, listening and writing.
